Which inkanto ribbon for which job
Your label and what it must survive decide the inkanto grade. Each job below names the grades we suggest.
Wax grades rated 5/5 on rough and coated paper. AWR 1 and AWR 8 are the everyday choices; AWX FH adds very high smudge resistance; GP 725 i25 is a resin-enhanced wax for more durability; SW200+ is for short-term labels.
Consider: AWR 1, AWR 8, AWX FH, GP 725 i25, SW200+
Flat-head wax/resin grades rated 5/5 on coated paper and 3/5 or 4/5 on synthetics. APR 6 is the general-purpose grade; APX FH+, PRIME Mark and APX 8 add smudge, scratch and rub resistance.
Consider: APR 1, APR 6, APX FH+, PRIME Mark, APX 8
Flat-head resin grades rated 5/5 on synthetics. AXR 7+ is the general-purpose resin with UL 969 and BS 5609; AXR 8 and AXR 9 resist solvents (4/5) and higher heat; SP 330 is for heavy-duty and outdoor labels.
Near-edge grades for labels and packaging film. APR 600 and APX 650 are rated 5/5 on packaging film; AXR 600 and AXR 100 (4/5) add resin durability; AXR 800 (3/5) resists solvents.
Textile resin grades for nylon taffeta, satin polyester and polyester taffeta, with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I. ATX 9 is rated 5/5 for washing, dry cleaning and ironing.
Grades on a thinner PET film. ARMOR-IIMAK states that AWR XL (3.35 µm film) uses 26% less plastic and gives up to 40% more printing time, and that APR 1, APX 8, SW200+ and ATX 1 (4 µm film) use 12% less plastic than standard ribbons.

The grades are as listed on ARMOR-IIMAK's India site. Availability of the exact grade, width and length you need is confirmed with our quotation.
Each inkanto grade is made for flat-head printers, near-edge printers or, for the ATX textile grades, both; the table shows which. Check your printer's manual for its printhead type, or send us your printer model and we will check it for you.
ARMOR-IIMAK shows how well each grade suits each material as filled dots out of five, and we show the same as x/5. A higher number is a better match; 0 means the maker shows no dots for that material. Test the grade on your own labels before a large order.
