TVS LP 46 Dlite 4-inch desktop barcode label printer

Why the LP 46 Dlite / LP 46 Plus / LP 46 Neo / LP 46 Lite

4-inch, 203 dpi labels with the connection you need

The LP 46 Dlite, LP 46 Plus, LP 46 Neo and LP 46 Lite are four of TVS Electronics' current 4-inch desktop label printers. All four print at 203 dpi, up to 6 inches per second and up to 108 mm wide. The Dlite prints with a ribbon (thermal transfer); the Plus, Neo and Lite print with or without one. The Dlite starts with USB and takes add-on interfaces; the Plus has USB, serial and Ethernet built in and the most memory; the Neo has USB and serial; the Lite has USB.

Pick the connection you need

The LP 46 Dlite has a USB port as standard. TVS lists an RS-232 serial port, Ethernet, and Bluetooth or Wi-Fi (one of the two) as options. The LP 46 Plus has USB 2.0, RS-232 serial and Ethernet as standard, so it can sit on the office network from day one. The LP 46 Neo has USB and RS-232 serial; the LP 46 Lite has USB 2.0.

6 ips at 203 dpi, 108 mm wide

All four print at 8 dots/mm (203 dpi) with a maximum print width of 108 mm (4.25 in). TVS rates the Dlite at up to 152 mm/s, the Plus and Lite at up to 152.4 mm/s (6 ips) and the Neo at up to 150 mm/s. The Dlite prints thermal transfer, always with a ribbon; the Plus, Neo and Lite print direct thermal without a ribbon or thermal transfer with one.

300 m ribbons, fewer changes

All four take ribbons up to 300 m long. The Plus and Lite take 300 m on a 1-inch core (up to 67 mm across) or 110 m on a 0.5-inch core, 40 to 110 mm wide, ink coated outside. The Dlite and Neo take 12.7 mm (0.5-inch) and 25.4 mm (1-inch) ribbon cores.

Memory for formats, fonts and logos

The Plus has 128 MB flash and 64 MB SDRAM, the Lite 8 MB flash and 16 MB SDRAM, and the Neo 4 MB flash and 8 MB SDRAM. The Dlite has 16 MB flash (64 MB optional) and 32 MB SDRAM. The Plus and Lite have 8 bitmap fonts and a scalable TrueType font engine; the Dlite has 7 bitmap fonts and 1 vector font. The Dlite, Plus and Lite accept downloaded fonts and graphics.

Label languages

TVS lists TSPL-EZD on the Plus, compatible with EPL, ZPL, ZPL II and DPL, and TSPL-EZ on the Lite, compatible with EPL, ZPL and ZPL II, so label files from other printers can often be reused. TVS's Dlite manual lists two command sets, BPLZ and BPLA, and choosing the matching Windows driver for each. TVS's Neo product page and brochure name no printer language.

Peel-off and cutter options

TVS lists a peel-off module and a guillotine cutter (full cut or partial cut) for the Plus as options; in peel mode it prints up to 3 ips on labels 25.4 to 152.4 mm long. For the Dlite, TVS lists tear-off and rewind output, with peel-off and cutter as options. TVS lists no peel-off or cutter option for the Neo or the Lite; both tear off.

Questions buyers ask

LP 46 Dlite / LP 46 Plus / LP 46 Neo / LP 46 Lite FAQ

What is the price of the TVS LP 46 Dlite / LP 46 Plus / LP 46 Neo / LP 46 Lite in India?

The LP 46 Dlite / LP 46 Plus / LP 46 Neo / LP 46 Lite price depends on the options you add and the quantity. We can quote the labels and ribbon with it. We do not publish prices: share the model, quantity and city, and we send a written quotation with current pricing and delivery time, replying within one working day.

Which LP 46 should we choose: Dlite, Plus, Neo or Lite?

All four print 4-inch labels at 203 dpi and up to 6 ips. The Dlite always prints with a ribbon (thermal transfer); the Plus, Neo and Lite can also print direct thermal labels without one. Choose the Dlite for one PC or billing counter over USB; TVS lists serial, Ethernet, and Bluetooth or Wi-Fi as add-ons. Choose the Lite for one PC over USB when your labels were made for ZPL or EPL printers, and the Neo when a serial device must print too. Choose the Plus when the printer must be shared on the network. Tell us your label size and software when you ask for a quote.

Can the LP 46 print 4 × 6 inch courier labels?

Yes. A 4 × 6 inch label is 101.6 mm wide and all four models print up to 108 mm wide. The Neo takes media up to 120 mm wide, the Dlite up to 118 mm and the Plus and Lite up to 112 mm. At 6 ips a 4 × 6 label with a 3 mm gap prints in about one second. Send the label size your courier or marketplace portal produces with your enquiry.

Will our existing ZPL or EPL label formats work?

TVS lists the LP 46 Plus language as TSPL-EZD, compatible with EPL, ZPL, ZPL II and DPL, and the LP 46 Lite as TSPL-EZ, compatible with EPL, ZPL and ZPL II, so many label files from other brands can be reused; check any special commands your software sends. For the LP 46 Dlite, TVS's manual lists the BPLZ and BPLA command sets and does not state ZPL or EPL compatibility, and TVS's LP 46 Neo product page and brochure name no printer language. Tell us which software prints your labels before choosing the Dlite or the Neo.

Which ribbons and labels do these printers take?

All four take label rolls up to 127 mm across on a 1-inch or 1.5-inch core, and ribbons up to 300 m long. The Plus and Lite take ribbons 40 to 110 mm wide with the ink on the outside, on a 1-inch core (300 m) or a 0.5-inch core (110 m). The Dlite prints only with a ribbon; the Dlite and Neo take 0.5-inch and 1-inch ribbon cores. Allmark supplies labels and ribbons; quote them with the printer.

Can the LP 46 Dlite connect over the network or Wi-Fi?

The standard Dlite (TVS item code 3006300005) is the USB version. TVS lists RS-232 serial, Ethernet, and Bluetooth or Wi-Fi as options, with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi as alternatives rather than both. If you need network printing from day one, the LP 46 Plus has Ethernet and serial as standard. Say which connection you need when you ask for a quote. The LP 46 Neo has USB and serial, and the LP 46 Lite has USB.

Can they peel or cut labels?

For the LP 46 Plus, TVS lists a peel-off module and a guillotine cutter (full cut, or full and partial cut) as options. In peel mode the Plus prints up to 3 ips on labels from 25.4 to 152.4 mm long. For the LP 46 Dlite, TVS lists peel-off and cutter output as options alongside tear-off and rewind. Ask for the option in the same quotation. TVS lists no peel-off or cutter option for the LP 46 Neo or the LP 46 Lite; both tear off.

Can Allmark install the LP 46 Dlite / LP 46 Plus / LP 46 Neo / LP 46 Lite and connect it to our software?

Yes. We install the LP 46 Dlite / LP 46 Plus / LP 46 Neo / LP 46 Lite at your site, connect it so your ERP, warehouse or billing software prints to it (our own warehouse management system included) and train the people who use it. Tell us the software when you ask for a quote, and we include the setup in the quotation.
