Multi-slot cradles charge a row of devices, or their spare batteries, in one place. For example, Zebra lists five-slot cradles for the TC22 / TC27, Honeywell a quad charging base for the CT32 and Newland a 4-slot cradle for the NFT10.

A printhead fits one printer model or series and one resolution, and often one print method: Zebra lists one 203 dpi direct thermal printhead for both the ZD411 and the ZD611, for example. Rule out cleaning and settings first, then send us the printer model and resolution, or the maker's part number.

Holsters and belt clips are listed model by model. For example, Newland lists a shoulder and belt holster for the N7, Zebra a belt clip for the ZQ120 Plus printer and a belt holster for the DS3608, DS3678 and DS3600-XR scanners.

A stand holds a handheld scanner for hands-free scanning. For example, Zebra lists a gooseneck Intellistand for the DS2208 and DS4608, and Newland a gooseneck stand for the HR11 Plus and HR2000.

Check what it plugs into. Most computers and billing terminals take a USB cable; some older systems need an RS-232 serial cable.
