Which Ricoh ribbon for which job
Your label and what it must survive decide the Ricoh grade. Each job below names the grades we suggest.
Shelf tags, scale labels, receipts and shipping box labels on paper, coated or gloss paper. Ricoh's wax ribbons and its economical wax/resin cover this work.
Logistics, tag and ticket labels that need smear and scratch resistance on coated paper or PET, PP, PE and PVC film. Ricoh lists these wax/resin grades for paper and film.
Film labels for automotive, electronics, battery and tyre uses that face heat, solvents, brake fluid, engine oil or petrol. Ricoh lists these resin grades for that work.
Blood bag, test tube, specimen and chemical labels. Ricoh lists B110CU for extreme solvents such as acetone, toluene and xylene, and B120EC and B110CR for blood bag and test tube labels.
Nylon, polyester, acetate and satin care labels that must survive washing, dry cleaning and ironing. Ricoh makes two textile resin ribbons; D110A also runs on near-edge printers.
Near-edge print heads need a ribbon made for them. Ricoh marks these grades for near-edge printers.
Ricoh ribbon grades
We use Ricoh's Asia-Pacific (Ricoh Thailand) ribbon list as the main list because it is the Ricoh region closest to India and Ricoh publishes no India ribbon page; grades that Ricoh lists only in the USA or Europe are marked.

Both. Allmark supplies genuine Ricoh ribbons on request. We can also offer our own ribbon of the same type (wax, wax/resin or resin) as an alternative, and we will tell you clearly which one we are quoting.
Not always. This list comes from Ricoh's Asia-Pacific and other regional pages, and Ricoh publishes no India ribbon list. We confirm whether the grade you need can be supplied in India when we send your written quotation.
Start with the label material and what the label must survive. Ricoh lists wax for paper labels, wax/resin for coated paper and film that is handled or rubbed, resin for film labels facing heat, chemicals or solvents, and textile resin for care labels. Ricoh says its ribbons should be tested in the end-use conditions, so test on your own label before you order in volume. Share a sample or the label specification and we will suggest a grade.
The two printer head designs need ribbons made for them, so check your printer before you order. Ricoh marks B120E for near-edge printers, B120EC and D110A for both near-edge and flat-head printers, and the grades marked flat head in the table for flat-head printers. Ricoh's Asia-Pacific pages do not state head type, so for some grades the head type is not stated.
