Warehouse, production, label, stock and asset software that works with the barcode printers, scanners and mobile computers we supply, plus ready-to-install apps.
ACE-UniLabel, Allmark's own label printing software for Windows, prints weight labels from the label file you use today. The operator fills only the values that change, on a screen made from that label.

The weight on the label must be the weight on the scale
A pack or carton label may carry the net weight, the tare and the gross weight, with the batch and the packing and use-by dates. Copying a weight from the scale display onto a gross weight label invites a swapped digit, and a pack outside the set weight should not get a label at all.
ACE-UniLabel connects your label to the weighing scale on the same PC, so each label is printed against the scale's own stable reading instead of a typed weight.

Retype in the label designer
The operator opens the label design and types each value before printing.
A few labels a day in one format.
Every value is retyped by hand; unless the designer is set to print only, the person printing may also change the layout, and there is often no record of who printed what.
Scale with a built-in label printer
The scale prints its own label formats.
Simple weight labels at one scale.
Formats are limited to what the scale offers, so your customer's own layout may not fit.
Label designer linked to an Excel sheet
The label design reads a sheet, with counters and date offsets set up inside the design.
Planned batches from a list.
Someone has to keep the sheet link and the design settings working, and operators may work inside the design tool unless it offers a print-only form.
Pre-printed or handwritten stickers
Stickers bought printed and filled in by hand.
Very low volumes.
Handwriting varies from one person to the next, and a pre-printed sticker cannot carry the lot's own batch, date or QR code.
ACE-UniLabel
A print screen made from your pack label file and a picture of it, marked Weighed so it opens at the Weigh & Print station.
Your own label layout, with the scale on the same PC.
At Weigh & Print each stable reading is judged against the set rule and the label prints only when it passes; use-by dates proposed from the label's own period; print history; it runs offline on the PC.
In ACE-UniLabel
How ACE-UniLabel prints gross weight labels
Turn an existing label file (.prn) and a picture of the printed label into a reusable operator print screen. These screens were made from the example labels above.
Connect label printing to a weighing process: open a batch, judge each stable reading against the set rule, and print only when it passes.
Make Screen from Label marked both example screens Weighed, so they open at the Weigh & Print station.
On the food pack label, the use-by date is proposed from the label's own period, here the made-on date plus six months. The operator confirms or changes it, and the app warns before printing if the dates break that period.
The scale is set up on the same PC, with its serial-port settings and a live reading.
The counting label's print screen, marked Weighed.
The food pack label, with the use-by date taken from the label's own period: made-on date plus six months.
Print or hold
Print the label only when the batch rule allows it
When the count looks complete but the weight is short, the operator should not have to decide alone. At Weigh & Print the batch rule decides, and the screen says why a case is held.
Set once for each batch
Pick the product by typing to search or scanning its GTIN.
Choose what decides printing: the weight, the piece count, or both.
Enter the approved weight band, or let the app learn it from the first cases and have QA approve it.
For counted parts, set the minimum and maximum pieces per case. With the cross-check on, the weight must agree with the count through the average piece weight.
At shift start the station lists its checks, and says so when the scale has not been verified against a certified test weight.
What the operator sees on each case
Place the case, and the station waits for a steady reading.
In the band: the case may print.
Low, high, no band set, or a count that does not match the weight: the label is held and the reason is on screen.
Scale offline: printing waits, and the screen says why.
When a case is held
As their role allows, people can challenge a reading, enter a weight by hand with a reason, mark a partial case, reprint a case with its recorded weights, pause the batch, hand over to the next shift or close the batch.
Each weighing is recorded on the PC, and manual weights and overrides are listed on the batch summary.
Opening a batch: what is weighed, what decides printing, the band and the piece count. Demo product, batch and band.
Print, and the exception buttons the person's role allows (here an administrator, so all seven).
The case is held: LOW — 4.900–5.100 kg required, read 4.700 kg. Weight typed in the app's audited manual-weight entry; demo product and batch.
It does not make a reading correct. Your scale, any approval it needs for your use, and your own recheck and release procedure stay as they are; we confirm the scale, printer and connection for your station before we quote.
Station-Fit Trial: bring one pack, see it print or hold
For a planned purchase, at our Chennai office or at your site in and around Chennai. Bring the pack or a safe sample, the approved weight band or piece count, your scale and printer models, and the label file. We show a case that prints and a case that is held, and give you a written list of what fits and what does not. There is no charge for the trial; ACE-UniLabel itself is licensed per computer and quoted in writing.
Ask these questions of any way of printing weight labels, ours included. At the demo we answer them on your own label.
Is the weight read from the scale, or typed?
Can a pack outside the set weight be stopped before it gets a label?
Do net, tare and gross weight print on your own label layout?
Is the use-by or expiry date worked out from the date made, and checked before printing?
Are your scale and printer models confirmed for your setup?
Try it on your label
Try your own label at the demo
Bring the pack label file you print today, one printed label and your scale's model. The demo is at no charge: we make the label's screen with you, and show Weigh & Print where a scale is available. ACE-UniLabel itself is licensed per computer and quoted in writing.
What is the difference between net, tare and gross weight on a label?
Net weight is the product alone, tare is the packaging, and gross weight is the two together.
Can it stop a label when the weight is wrong?
Yes. At the Weigh & Print station each stable reading is judged against the set rule, and the label prints only when it passes.
Do we need software, or is a weighing scale with a built-in printer enough?
If your scale's own printer already prints the label you need and it rarely changes, you may not need software. ACE-UniLabel suits a station where labels and rules change, a separate thermal label printer is used, and count checks, held cases and shift handovers must stay visible.
Can the best before or use-by date fill itself?
Not on its own: the app proposes it. On the example food pack label it proposes the made-on date plus six months, the label's own period; the operator confirms it or types another date, and the app warns before printing dates that break that period.
Which scales and printers does it work with?
Tested interoperability with selected OHAUS weighing-scale and GoDEX/TSC thermal-printer configurations. Compatibility is model- and configuration-dependent; confirmation is provided during solution assessment.
Can the product name and other fixed details fill themselves?
Yes. Select the product, let product facts fill automatically, and enter only the run-specific details.
Can we print our own gross weight labels instead of buying printed stickers?
Yes. With a supported thermal label printer (we confirm the model in the solution assessment) and plain labels, ACE-UniLabel prints each pack's own label from your label file. We also supply the label printers and the labels.
Does the weighing PC need the internet?
No. ACE-UniLabel runs on a Windows 10 or 11 64-bit PC near the line with its own database on the PC, and keeps working offline.
Send us the label you print today
Send the label file and a photo of the printed label on WhatsApp, and tell us how its values reach the label now. We send back a draft operator screen and quote the features you need. For a planned purchase, we can also show it working in person.
