Why the ScanPal EDA52
The ScanPal EDA52 is Honeywell's value touch handheld: slim and light enough for a pocket, with a dedicated scan engine and side scan keys.
The Honeywell S0703 slim imager reads 1D and 2D barcodes at standard range (0-1 m), including damaged or incomplete codes. Left and right scan keys sit on the sides.
Choose a Wi-Fi-only model or the WWAN model with 4G LTE, one nano-SIM plus one eSIM, and GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou. Both have dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC.
The 4,500 mAh battery is removable, supports Quick Charge 3.0 and charges fully in under 3.5 hours. Honeywell states more than 12 hours of continuous use.
Sealed to IP67, rated for multiple 1.3 m drops to concrete (1.5 m with the rubber boot) and 550 tumbles from 0.5 m. It works from -20 °C to 50 °C.
With an adapter cup, the EDA52 fits the ScanPal EDA51 single charging dock, and the 6-pin version also fits CT4X universal docks, which can lower the cost of an upgrade.
The EDA52 is validated for Android Enterprise Recommended. Allmark can connect it to your billing, warehouse or ERP software and set it up on site, with training for your team.

For buyers in India
These are the points buyers in India ask us about the ScanPal EDA52. Mention the ones that apply to you when you request a quote.
The EDA52 4G model works on the 4G networks of Jio, Airtel and Vi; it has no 5G radio. Its LTE band list includes 1, 3, 5, 8, 40 and 41. That covers Jio (bands 3, 5 and 40), Airtel (1, 3, 8 and 40, plus band 5 in some circles) and Vi (1, 3, 8 and 41, plus band 40 in some circles).
If staff must make SIM calls on the EDA52 with a Jio SIM, confirm VoLTE on the India unit before ordering. Jio has no 2G or 3G network, so phone calls on a Jio SIM need VoLTE, and Honeywell's EDA52 datasheets do not mention it. For data apps such as billing, delivery and stock sync, this does not matter.
Keep the EDA52 out of direct sun and hot parked vehicles. It works from -20 °C to 50 °C and 5% to 90% humidity, non-condensing, and is sealed to IP67: dust-tight and protected against immersion to 1 m for 30 minutes.
EDA52 models with the S0703 imager let delivery and van-sales staff capture e-way bill and e-invoice QR codes in their app. E-way bills carry a QR code that tax officers scan to verify them, and B2B e-invoices carry one with the IRN. The S0703 imager's datasheet lists QR Code and Data Matrix and reads a 15 mil QR code from 39 mm to 414 mm.

Questions buyers ask
The ScanPal EDA52 price depends on the accessories (cradles, spare batteries) and the quantity. Ask our team for today's competitive price: share your requirement and budget, and we will help you choose the right configuration and send a written quotation with current pricing and delivery time.
Yes. Honeywell offers a Wi-Fi-only model and a WWAN model with 4G LTE. The 4G model takes one nano-SIM and one eSIM at the same time, so you can switch operators without changing SIM cards, and it adds GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou for location. Its LTE bands include 1, 3, 5, 8, 40 and 41, which cover the 4G bands Jio, Airtel and Vi use. Honeywell does not list VoLTE, so tell us if staff need SIM voice calls.
Honeywell ships the EDA52 with Android 11 and lists it as upgradeable to Android 13, pending confirmation from Qualcomm and Google; Honeywell's support site also has an article on upgrading EDA52 devices from Android 11 to Android 13. Ask which Android version the units ship with. If your apps need a newer Android version, look at the Honeywell CT32, which ships with Android 14. Tell us which apps you run when you ask for a quote.
The number refers to the bottom connector. Both share the same screen, scanner, battery and ruggedness. Honeywell lists 3 GB/32 GB, 4 GB/64 GB and 6 GB/128 GB memory for the 2-pin model and 4 GB/64 GB for the 6-pin model. The 6-pin model also works with Honeywell's net base, display dock and CT4X universal docks.
The EDA52 is the value option: 5.5-inch HD screen, Wi-Fi 5, optional 4G and a standard-range imager. The CT32 has a 6-inch Full HD screen, Wi-Fi 6E, optional 5G, IP68 sealing, Android 14 and an optional FlexRange imager that reads barcodes from much further away. Describe your workflow and we will recommend one.
