Why the MT93
The MT93 is Newland's 5.5-inch Android 13 touch handheld with a built-in 2D megapixel scan engine. Allmark supplies it in India as part number NLS-MT93-LHSV-S, with 4 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, 4G and Wi-Fi 6. In Newland's touch range it is larger than the 5-inch MT90 and smaller than the 6-inch 5G MT95.
A 2D megapixel scan engine with a straight scan angle reads 1D and 2D codes, from 70 to 610 mm for a 13 mil EAN-13. Scan with the left or right scan key.
Newland's Acuscan feature, which Newland lists for the MT93, reads only the code under the centre of the laser aimer when several labels sit close together, as on cartons, shelf edges and parcel stacks.
The 3.85 V, 5,000 mAh battery is removable. Newland states a full-shift battery life of up to 12 hours on one charge, with 18 W fast charging over USB-C and an optional 4-slot battery charging cradle.
IP67 sealing, 1.5 m drops to concrete on all six sides (1.8 m with the rubber boot), and an operating range of -20 °C to 55 °C. Corning Gorilla Glass covers the touch screen, which reaches 400 nits.
4G LTE with two nano-SIM slots (or one SIM and a microSD card), dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (Newland also lists GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo), and NFC for ISO 14443A/B, ISO 15693, MIFARE, FeliCa and NFC Forum Type 1-4 tags.
Android 13 on a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Newland lists its Ndevor device-management software alongside the MT93.

For buyers in India
These are the points buyers in India ask us about the MT93. Mention the ones that apply to you when you request a quote.
The MT93's 4G bands cover all three Indian operators, Jio, Airtel and Vi; confirm the bands before ordering. Newland's India and Asia site gives this 4G list: FDD bands 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20 and 28, and TDD bands 34, 38, 39, 40 and 41. Jio runs 4G on bands 3, 5 and 40. Airtel uses 1, 3, 8 and 40, with 5 in some circles. Vi uses 1, 3, 8, 40 and 41. Newland's band list includes every one of those. The MT93's two nano-SIM slots can hold SIMs from two of the three operators.
If drivers must phone customers on a Jio SIM, confirm VoLTE before you order the MT93. Newland does not list VoLTE for the MT93. Jio's calls run over VoLTE, and Jio points users of 4G devices without VoLTE to its JioCall app. The MT93 also has no 5G radio. Jio's 5G uses n28 (700 MHz) and n78 (3.3 GHz), and Airtel and Vi use n78; on each network the MT93 stays on 4G. Newland's 5G handheld is the MT95.
On a carton with several codes, the MT93 reads only the one staff aim at, so they do not capture the wrong label. When an e-way bill, a courier label and a case label sit side by side, Acuscan reads only the code under the aimer. Each e-way bill gets a 12-digit number and carries a QR code that tax officers scan to verify it. Newland's symbology list for the MT93 includes QR Code, Code 128, GS1-128 (UCC/EAN-128), Data Matrix and PDF417. A 15 mil QR reads from 55 mm to 410 mm.
The MT93 can take heavy monsoon rain or a drop into a puddle: IP67 means protection against immersion in 1 m of water for 30 minutes, and it is tested for 1.5 m drops to concrete on each of six sides, or 1.8 m in its rubber boot. It works up to 55 °C and in 5-95% humidity, non-condensing, so after an air-conditioned van or a cold store let it warm up before working in humid air. Newland gives no charging temperature range.
The MT93's 18 W adapter runs on Indian mains: it accepts 100-240 V AC at 50-60 Hz. That covers India's 230 V and 240 V mains at 50 Hz, and Newland lists an India-plug version (AD18-U-I). The battery stores 3.85 V × 5,000 mAh = 19.25 Wh, and Newland states up to 12 hours on one charge. For longer days on the road, the 4-slot battery charging cradle keeps spare batteries ready.

Questions buyers ask
The MT93 price depends on the accessories (cradles, spare batteries) and the quantity. Ask our team for today's competitive price: share your requirement and budget, and we will help you choose the right configuration and send a written quotation with current pricing and delivery time.
Both are Newland Android touch handhelds with a built-in 2D scan engine. The MT90 has Android 11, a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, a 5-inch 1280 × 720 screen, a 4,500 mAh battery and IP65 sealing (IP67 optional); it works from -20 °C to 55 °C. The MT93 has Android 13, a 2.2 GHz processor, 128 GB storage in the India version, a 5.5-inch screen, a 5,000 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 6 and IP67 as standard; it works from -20 °C to 55 °C. Choose the MT93 for the newer Android version, the larger screen and Wi-Fi 6; choose the MT90 when your apps are certified on Android 11. If you run MT90s today and add MT93s, test those apps on the MT93 first.
The MT93 is the compact 4G option with a 5.5-inch screen and 277 g weight. Newland's current MT95 adds 5G, a 6-inch screen, Android 15, 6 GB RAM and a hot-swap battery, and weighs 314 g. Choose the MT95 if you need 5G or a larger screen; otherwise the MT93 covers store and warehouse work over Wi-Fi and 4G.
Newland rates the MT93 to IP67 against dust and water and tests it for 1.5 m drops to concrete on all six sides, or 1.8 m in its rubber boot. It operates from -20 °C to 55 °C. The touch screen is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass and reaches 400 nits, and the 5,000 mAh battery is removable, so drivers can carry a charged spare.
Yes. The 5,000 mAh battery is removable, so a worker can fit a charged spare. Newland states up to 12 hours from a single charge. Newland offers a 4-slot battery charging cradle and a single-slot charging cradle, and the device supports 18 W fast charging over USB-C.
For data, it should. Newland's 4G band list includes every 4G band the three operators use: Jio 3, 5 and 40; Airtel 1, 3, 5, 8 and 40; Vi 1, 3, 8, 40 and 41. It has no 5G radio, so it uses their 4G networks. Newland does not list VoLTE, which Jio uses for voice calls, so if staff will make calls on a Jio SIM, confirm VoLTE support before ordering.
