Why the Voyager XP 1472g
The Voyager XP 1472g is the cordless version of Honeywell's Voyager XP 1470g and the successor to the Voyager 1452g.
Reads 1D and 2D codes on printed labels and on customers' phones, such as digital coupons and wallet codes, including damaged or poorly printed codes.
The replaceable 2,400 mAh battery gives up to 100,000 scans per charge, or up to 28 hours at one scan per second. Charging takes about 4 hours with a 5 V 1 A adapter or 7 hours over USB.
Bluetooth 4.2 reaches up to 100 m line of sight from Honeywell's charge and communication base, so staff can scan heavy items in the trolley or the stockroom.
Rated IP52 and engineered for 30 drops to concrete from 1.8 m and 1,000 tumbles at 0.5 m. Select models have disinfectant-ready housings for regular cleaning.
The base connects over USB, keyboard wedge or RS-232 and supports 84 international keyboard layouts. Allmark sets it up with your POS, ERP or warehouse software and trains your staff on site.

In shops without air-conditioning, put the 1472g's base in the coolest spot, away from the shutter and direct sun. The scanner works from 0 °C to 50 °C, but it charges only from 5 °C to 40 °C.
The 1472g reads either code a medicine brand prints, and staff can scan a strip at the counter or take the scanner to the shelf. It lists the common 1D codes plus QR, Micro QR and Data Matrix, down to 6 mil QR and 5 mil Data Matrix.
Kirana and supermarket staff can scan a heavy item's GS1 India barcode in the trolley with the 1472g, without lifting it. Product barcodes starting with 890 are EAN-13 numbers issued by GS1 India. The 1472g reads EAN and UPC, and in Honeywell's tests a 13 mil UPC reads from 18 mm to 400 mm.
With software that reads the e-invoice QR, the 1472g lets staff check goods against a supplier's invoice where they are unloaded. The 1472g reads a 20 mil QR code from 5 mm to 325 mm in Honeywell's tests and works up to 100 m line of sight from its base.

Honeywell lists the Voyager 1452g as end of life since October 2019 and names the 1472g as its replacement. Honeywell describes the 1452g as a linear (1D) reader with an optional upgrade to PDF and 2D. The 1472g reads 1D and 2D codes, including phone screens, as standard, uses Bluetooth 4.2 with up to 100 m range and is sealed to IP52.
Yes. Honeywell designed the 1472g to read codes shown on smartphone screens, such as digital coupons and wallet codes, as well as printed barcodes. It reads QR, Data Matrix, PDF417 and the common 1D codes used on retail packs. A 20 mil QR code reads from about 5 mm to 325 mm in Honeywell's typical tests.
Honeywell rates the replaceable 2,400 mAh battery for up to 100,000 scans per charge, or up to 28 hours at one scan per second. A full charge takes about 4 hours with a 5 V 1 A adapter or about 7 hours over USB. For two shifts, add a spare battery and a battery charger to the order.
Up to 100 m line of sight in Bluetooth 4.2 mode with Honeywell's charge and communication base. Walls, racks and metal shelving reduce the real range, so if you plan to scan across a stockroom or a large store, tell us the layout when you ask for a quote and we will advise on base placement.
In most cases, yes. The base connects over USB, keyboard wedge or RS-232, and the scanner supports 84 keyboard layouts, so data appears in your software like typed text. Allmark sets up scanners for billing, POS, ERP and our own warehouse management system, with on-site installation and training.
