Why the MH241 Series
The MH241 Series is TSC's mainstream 4-inch industrial printer and the successor to the MH240 Series. It comes in three resolutions (MH241, MH341, MH641) and three builds: standard, T with a touch screen, and P with a built-in full-roll rewinder.
Choose 203 dpi at up to 356 mm/s (14 ips), 300 dpi at up to 305 mm/s (12 ips) or 600 dpi at up to 152 mm/s (6 ips). All three print up to 104 mm wide.
The printer takes 203.2 mm (8-inch) O.D. label rolls and 600 m ribbons, so operators reload less often on long shipping or production runs.
TSC Sense Care runs a self-diagnostic printhead check (TPH Care) and gives status warnings. SOTI Connect (licence required) and TSC Console can manage printers remotely over Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
Ethernet, USB 2.0, RS-232 and two front USB host ports for a scanner or keyboard are standard. GPIO with parallel is a factory option for applicators; Wi-Fi 802.11ac with Bluetooth 4.2 is a slot-in option.
TSPL-EZD firmware is compatible with EPL, ZPL, ZPL II and DPL, which helps when you replace printers of another make without redesigning every label.
Options include regular, heavy-duty and care-label cutters, a peel-off kit and a 5-inch internal rewinder. The P models have an 8-inch full-roll rewinder built in.

Tell us the resolution, model and options you need from the nine builds, and we will quote them. The MH241, MH341 and MH641 each come as a standard, T (touch screen) or P (full-roll rewinder) model.
The MH241 Series prints the QR that API labels need, on media for both bags and drums. It prints QR code, DataMatrix and EAN-128 (GS1-128), on media 20-114 mm wide and 0.06-0.28 mm thick for inner bags and outer drums alike. The 600 dpi MH641 places a dot every 0.04 mm for small codes on small containers.
Size MRP figures on retail cartons by model: the MH241 prints 8 dots/mm, the MH341 12 and the MH641 24. If one printer labels both retail cartons and bulk drums, set the MRP fields per label format; ask us to set it up and print test labels on your roll.
The MH241 prints a 4 × 6 inch courier label in about 0.44 s. That label (101.6 × 152.4 mm) fits the 104 mm print width. At 356 mm/s (14 ips) with a 3 mm gap, that is roughly 8,200 an hour of pure print time; the MH341 needs about 0.51 s. A full 203.2 mm roll of the thickest media (0.28 mm) holds about 99.5 m on a 76.2 mm core, around 640 such labels. One 600 m ribbon covers about six of those rolls, or some 3,860 labels.
Give the MH241 Series a cooled spot from March to June, and a stabiliser or UPS where mains runs above 240 V. TSC rates it for 0 °C to 40 °C at 25-85% humidity, non-condensing, on an internal AC 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz supply.

Buy the MH241. TSC India lists the MH240 Series as no longer sold since December 2021, with support until December 2026, and names the MH241 Series as its replacement. Both list the same speeds, resolutions, 8-inch roll capacity and 600 m ribbon. The MH241 datasheet adds an 802.11ac Wi-Fi option, Bluetooth 5.0 MFi, TSC Sense Care and SOTI Connect support, which the MH240 datasheet does not mention.
The 203 dpi MH241 is the fastest at 14 ips and suits shipping, carton and pallet labels. The 300 dpi MH341 prints sharper small text and 2D codes at up to 12 ips. TSC positions the 600 dpi MH641 for very small 2D barcodes, graphics and fine print, at up to 6 ips. If unsure, send us a sample label with your quote request.
TSC's TSPL-EZD firmware supports the EPL, ZPL, ZPL II and DPL printer languages. Print a test batch of your actual label formats before changing over a fleet.
All three print at the same speeds and resolutions. The standard model has a 3.5-inch colour LCD with buttons. The T model has a 4.3-inch colour touch screen and a media near-end sensor. The P model adds a built-in 8-inch full-roll rewinder, which makes it taller (412 mm) and heavier (18.93 kg).
Yes. Set the MRP fields per label format, so each label prints its own layout, and print the QR code on bulk-drug (API) labels. Ask us to set up both formats and print test labels on your rolls.
