Reads at arm's length
Zebra's spec sheet lists a 13 mil UPC from 2.5 cm to 78.7 cm and a 4 mil Code 39 from 10.2 cm to 25.4 cm, so one scanner handles everyday carton labels and small high-density codes.

Why the LI3608-SR
The LI3608-SR is the corded, standard-range model of Zebra's LI3600 ultra-rugged linear imagers. It reads 1D barcodes at arm's length on warehouse and plant floors, and it runs from the host, so there is nothing to charge. For rack labels several metres away, look at the LI3608-ER; to roam without a cable, the LI3678-SR; for QR or Data Matrix codes, the DS3608-SR.
Zebra's spec sheet lists a 13 mil UPC from 2.5 cm to 78.7 cm and a 4 mil Code 39 from 10.2 cm to 25.4 cm, so one scanner handles everyday carton labels and small high-density codes.
Zebra rates the LI3608-SR to read 1D barcodes under heavy shrinkwrap, or damaged, dirty or poorly printed, and down to a 15% minimum print contrast. It also reads 1D codes shown on a screen.
Zebra's spec sheet rates it for multiple 3.0 m drops to concrete at room temperature, multiple 2.4 m drops from -30 °C to 50 °C, 7,500 tumbles at 1.0 m, and IP65 and IP68 sealing.
At 287 g it is the lightest LI3600 model. It draws 170 mA operating and 40 mA on standby (RMS typical at 5 V) from the host and works from -30 °C to 50 °C, colder than the cordless LI3678-SR.
USB, RS232 or keyboard wedge, and EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP and standard TCP/IP through Zebra Network Connect. Zebra's 123Scan and Scanner Management Service handle settings and firmware, and Allmark connects the scanner to your billing, ERP or warehouse software.

For buyers in India
These are the points buyers in India ask us about the LI3608-SR. Mention the ones that apply to you when you request a quote.
Zebra lists India and Korea configurations of the LI3608. We confirm the one we supply in the quotation.
The corded LI3608-SR works from -30 °C to 50 °C; the cordless LI3678-SR is rated down to -20 °C. If pickers carry it between a freezer and the dock, we quote Zebra's heated scanner holder, which Zebra recommends against condensation on the scan window.
Each host port takes its own Zebra cable. The 12 V USB, RS-232 and keyboard wedge cables Zebra lists for the LI3608 need its 12 V power supply, while the BC 1.2 USB cables work without one. List the host port at each station and we quote the matching cable and supply.

More detail
Standard-range 1D scanning for warehouse and plant floors.
The LI3608-SR (corded) and LI3678-SR (cordless) are Zebra's standard-range linear imagers for warehouse and manufacturing plant floor workers. Zebra's spec sheet rates them to read 1D barcodes shown on a screen or printed on a label, even under heavy shrinkwrap or damaged, dirty or poorly printed, and calls them "ideal for first-time accurate capture of barcodes in pick lists".
The Zebra LI3608 SR 1D Scanner is used for: barcodes in pick lists; 1D codes on labels or screens; shrink-wrapped, damaged or poorly printed labels; warehouse and plant-floor scanning; forklift and shipping work; and indoor, outdoor and freezer use.

Questions buyers ask
The LI3608-SR price depends on the cable or accessories you need and the quantity. Ask our team for today's competitive price: share your requirement and budget, and we will help you choose the right configuration and send a written quotation with current pricing and delivery time.
Corded: it takes power from the host and sends data over the host connection, so there is no battery to charge. The cordless version is the LI3678-SR, which adds a 3,100 mAh battery and Bluetooth to a charging cradle, weighs 386.5 g against 287 g, and is rated to -20 °C instead of -30 °C.
No. It is a 1D linear imager and reads 1D barcodes such as Code 128, Code 39, UPC/EAN and GS1 DataBar, printed or on a screen. If your labels carry QR or Data Matrix codes, the DS3608-SR reads 1D and 2D codes on the same rugged body.
Zebra names the LI3600-ER and LI3600-SR as the replacements for the LS3408-ER. Choose the SR where codes are read at arm's length and the ER for rack labels at a distance. Zebra's reference guide says LS3408 cables do not fit the LI3608, so plan new cables.
Yes. Zebra lists an adjustable Intellistand for hands-free scanning and notes that the Intellistand is for the corded model only. Ask for it in the same quotation as the scanner and cable.
Besides USB, RS232 and keyboard wedge, Zebra lists EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP and standard TCP/IP for the LI3608-SR through Zebra Network Connect. Tell us the PLC make and model, and we confirm the connection and parts with Zebra before quoting.
Yes. We install the LI3608-SR at your site, set it to send data the way your ERP, warehouse or billing software expects (our own warehouse management system included) and train your team. Tell us the software when you ask for a quote, and we include the setup in the quotation.
Send what you scan, where you scan it and the software it feeds; we reply with a written quotation.
