Why the ZQ511 / ZQ521
The ZQ511 and ZQ521 are Zebra's rugged mobile printers, in 3-inch and 4-inch widths. They succeed the ZQ510 and ZQ520.
Rated for multiple 2 m drops to concrete and 1,300 tumbles from 1 m, and Zebra lists MIL-STD-810G. The optional exoskeleton raises the drop rating to 3 m.
IP54 as standard, or IP65 with the exoskeleton. The printers operate from -20 °C to 55 °C, so they suit open yards and delivery vans.
The ZQ511 prints 72 mm wide on 35 to 80 mm media. The ZQ521 prints 104 mm wide on 50.8 to 113 mm media for 4-inch shipping and pallet labels. Both print at 203 dpi and up to 127 mm/s in draft mode.
A removable 3,250 mAh Li-ion battery as standard, or a 6,500 mAh extended battery. The 4-slot power station charges four printers at a time.
Prints gap and black-mark labels, tags and receipts. Linerless versions with a silicone platen roller print linerless labels. Separate RFID versions of both models encode UHF RFID labels; they need black-mark RFID media.
Tap an NFC phone to pair over Bluetooth (Zebra Print Touch), or use Wi-Fi or USB. Each printer ships either Bluetooth-only or with dual-radio Wi-Fi 5 plus Bluetooth. CPCL and ZPL command support; remote management with Printer Profile Manager Enterprise. Allmark can connect the printers to your ERP or WMS.

For buyers in India
These are the points buyers in India ask us about the ZQ511 / ZQ521. Mention the ones that apply to you when you request a quote.
For a larger GST e-invoice QR, choose the ZQ521: it prints 104 mm wide against the ZQ511's 72 mm, and both models print QR codes on invoices up to 991 mm long. Ask us to set up your label format and print test labels on your roll.
Above 40 °C the ZQ511 and ZQ521 keep working, but their 3,250 mAh or 6,500 mAh battery will not charge, so plan charging in a cooler place. Both work up to 55 °C, charge only from 0 °C to 40 °C, and can be stored up to 66 °C.
For delivery staff working through the monsoon, fit the exoskeleton: it raises the rating from IP54 to IP65. Standard IP54 guards against dust deposits and splashing water; IP65 is dust-tight and protected against water jets. Zebra suggests IP54 for brief, light rain and IP65 for continuous driving rain. The vehicle cradle is rated IP43, so mount it inside the cab. Zebra lists a 12-24 V DC vehicle power supply, matching the nominal 12 V of cars and small vans and 24 V of trucks.
A 4 × 6 inch (101.6 × 152.4 mm) shipping label fits the ZQ521, which takes media 50.8 mm to 113 mm wide. A delivery app can also print a UPI payment QR on the proof-of-delivery slip, so the customer can pay at the door.

Questions buyers ask
The ZQ511 / ZQ521 price depends on the options you add and the quantity. We can quote the labels or receipt rolls with it. Ask our team for today's competitive price: share your requirement and budget, and we will help you choose the right configuration and send a written quotation with current pricing and delivery time.
Zebra stopped selling the ZQ510 and ZQ520 in July 2021, and its customer support for them ended on 30 June 2026. Zebra names the ZQ511 (or ZQ511 RFID) and the ZQ521 as the replacements, in the same 3-inch and 4-inch widths. Tell us how many ZQ510 or ZQ520 printers you run and which accessories you use, and we will quote the matching new models.
Without it, Zebra rates the printers to IP54 and multiple 2 m drops to concrete. The optional exoskeleton raises this to IP65 and 3 m drops. It is worth adding for open yards, heavy rain or printers that are carried on vehicles all day. For indoor warehouse use, the standard housing may be enough.
Yes, through separate RFID models of both printers. Zebra notes that the RFID versions need black-mark RFID media and do not support gap sensing. Include your tag type and label size in your enquiry so the quote covers the right model and media.
Zebra lists Android, iOS and Windows Mobile connectivity (Microsoft has ended support for Windows Mobile, so today that means Android and iOS devices). With an NFC-enabled handheld you can tap the printer to pair over Bluetooth (Zebra Print Touch). The printers accept CPCL and ZPL, so check that your app sends one of them.
Zebra does not publish a fixed runtime, because it depends on how much you print. The standard battery is 3,250 mAh and an extended 6,500 mAh battery is available, which adds about 90 to 100 g. For long routes, charge spare batteries indoors in a 3-slot charger and swap them on the route. The battery charges only between 0 °C and 40 °C, so a vehicle cradle in a hot cab may not charge it.
Yes. We install the ZQ511 / ZQ521 at your site, connect it so your ERP, warehouse or billing software prints to it (our own warehouse management system included) and train the people who use it. Tell us the software when you ask for a quote, and we include the setup in the quotation.
Send your label size, how many labels you print a day and the software you print from; we reply with a written quotation.
