Why the DA210
The DA210 is the 203 dpi model of TSC's DA Series of direct thermal desktop printers; the DA310 is the same printer at 300 dpi. TSC presents the DA210 and DA310 as the simple models of the series: USB 2.0 is standard and Bluetooth is an option.
The DA210 prints direct thermal only, so you stock labels and nothing else. TSC lists continuous, die-cut, black-mark, fan-fold and notched media, 19 to 114 mm wide.
USB 2.0 is standard. TSC offers Bluetooth 5.0 as a dealer option and MFi Bluetooth 5.0, for Apple phones and tablets, as a factory option.
TSC's TSPL-EZD firmware is compatible with EPL, ZPL, ZPL II and DPL, so label formats made for many existing desktop printers usually work without a redesign. Print one test label first.
The clamshell lid opens on a spring-loaded roll holder for rolls up to 127 mm (5 in) across on 25.4 to 38 mm cores. Gap, black-mark and notch sensing is automatic.
TSC gives 172 × 165 × 195 mm (W × H × D) and 1.5 kg, in a double-walled plastic case.
It prints EAN-13, UPC, Code 128, GS1 DataBar, QR code, Data Matrix and PDF417, among others, with 8 bitmap fonts and one scalable font, at 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees.

The DA210 prints up to 108 mm wide on media 19 to 114 mm wide, so a 4 × 6 inch (101.6 × 152.4 mm) courier label fits. At its top speed of 152.4 mm/s (6 ips) one such label takes about 1 s. Send us a label from your courier or marketplace portal and we set the size in your label software.
The DA210 prints at 8 dots/mm. For retail packs, ask us to set up the MRP, net-quantity and date lines in your label format and print test labels on your roll.
TSC rates the DA210 to run from 5 °C to 40 °C at 25-85% humidity, non-condensing. Keep it out of direct sun and hot, unventilated stockrooms.
Its external power supply takes AC 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz and gives the printer DC 24 V, 2.5 A (60 W). Plug it into a UPS or stabiliser where the mains supply is unsteady.

TSC describes the DA Series as "a perfect combination of affordability with a durable and reliable design". They are the same printer at two resolutions. The DA210 prints at 203 dpi, up to 152.4 mm/s (6 ips) and up to 108 mm wide. The DA310 prints at 300 dpi, up to 102 mm/s (4 ips) and up to 105.7 mm wide. Choose the DA310 for small text and small QR or Data Matrix codes; choose the DA210 for shipping, receiving and shelf labels at higher speed.
The DA210 prints direct thermal only, with no ribbon, so it suits shipping, receiving and short-life labels. For labels that must last, ask for thermal transfer: the TE210 also prints with a ribbon of up to 300 m, and adds Ethernet, RS-232 and USB host as standard. Tell us how long your labels must stay readable.
