Why the DA310
The DA310 is the 300 dpi model of TSC's DA Series of direct thermal desktop printers; the DA210 is the same printer at 203 dpi. TSC presents the DA210 and DA310 as the simple models of the series: USB 2.0 is standard and Bluetooth is an option.
The DA310 prints at 12 dots/mm, so small text, small QR and Data Matrix codes and fine graphics come out sharper than at 203 dpi. It prints up to 105.7 mm wide at up to 102 mm/s (4 ips).
The DA310 prints direct thermal only, so you stock labels and nothing else. TSC lists continuous, die-cut, black-mark, fan-fold and notched media, 19 to 114 mm wide.
USB 2.0 is standard. TSC offers Bluetooth 5.0 as a dealer option and MFi Bluetooth 5.0, for Apple phones and tablets, as a factory option.
The DA310's TSPL-EZD firmware is compatible with EPL, ZPL, ZPL II and DPL. A format designed for a 203 dpi printer usually prints without a redesign but can come out smaller at 300 dpi, so check one test label.
The clamshell lid opens on a spring-loaded roll holder for rolls up to 127 mm (5 in) across on 25.4 to 38 mm cores. Gap, black-mark and notch sensing is automatic.
TSC gives 172 × 165 × 195 mm (W × H × D) and 1.5 kg, in a double-walled plastic case.

For buyers in India
These are the points buyers in India ask us about the DA310. Mention the ones that apply to you when you request a quote.
The DA310 prints at 12 dots/mm, which helps where MRP, batch and date lines must fit on a small label. Ask us to set up those lines in your label format and print test labels on your roll.
At 300 dpi the DA310 prints QR and Data Matrix codes at smaller sizes than a 203 dpi printer can. Ask us to set the code size in your label format, and scan a test label on your roll before you order rolls in bulk.
TSC rates the DA310 to run from 5 °C to 40 °C at 25-85% humidity, non-condensing. Keep it out of direct sun and hot, unventilated stockrooms.
TSC rates the DA310's external power supply at AC 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz in and DC 24 V, 2.5 A (60 W) out. Where the mains dips or surges, connect it through a UPS or stabiliser.

Questions buyers ask
The DA310 price depends on the options you add and the quantity. We can quote the labels with it. Ask our team for today's competitive price: share your requirement and budget, and we will help you choose the right configuration and send a written quotation with current pricing and delivery time.
They are the same printer at two resolutions. The DA310 prints at 300 dpi, up to 102 mm/s (4 ips) and up to 105.7 mm wide. The DA210 prints at 203 dpi, up to 152.4 mm/s (6 ips) and up to 108 mm wide. Choose the DA310 for small text and small QR or Data Matrix codes; choose the DA210 for shipping, receiving and shelf labels at higher speed.
The DA310 prints direct thermal only, with no ribbon, so it suits short-life labels. For labels that must last, ask for thermal transfer: the TE310 also prints with a ribbon at 300 dpi, up to 300 m, and adds Ethernet, RS-232 and USB host as standard. Tell us how long your labels must stay readable.
No. TSC lists USB 2.0 as standard on the DA310, with Bluetooth 5.0 as a dealer option and MFi Bluetooth 5.0 as a factory option. If the printer must sit on a wired or Wi-Fi network, look at the TE310: Ethernet is standard and TSC offers a Wi-Fi with Bluetooth module as a dealer option.
Usually. TSC's TSPL-EZD firmware is compatible with EPL, ZPL, ZPL II and DPL, so formats written for many existing desktop printers print without a redesign. A format made for a 203 dpi printer can print smaller at 300 dpi, so tell us which software prints your labels and print one test label before a rollout.
Direct thermal media 19 to 114 mm wide and 0.055 to 0.19 mm thick, on rolls up to 127 mm (5 in) across with 25.4 to 38 mm (1 to 1.5 in) cores, or fan-folded. Labels can be 10 mm to 1,016 mm long. For larger rolls TSC offers an external roll mount for 214 mm (8.4 in) rolls on a 76.2 mm (3 in) core.
