Cordless scanning at the counter and in the stock room
The HR2000-BT is a cordless 2D handheld scanner that talks to its cradle over Bluetooth 5.0; the cradle connects to the PC or POS by USB. Newland also sells a corded HR2000 in the same body size.
Codes on paper and on screens
Newland states that the HR2000-BT reads codes printed on paper or shown on a screen. It lists EAN-13, UPC, GS1-128, GS1 DataBar and ITF-14, plus QR Code, Micro QR, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec and Han Xin Code, from 3 mil.
Move away from the counter
Bluetooth 5.0 with a stated range of 100 m in direct line of sight in open air. Synchronous, asynchronous and batch modes cover both live and stored scanning.
Keeps scans when out of range
The scanner stores up to 16,384 scans and sends them when it is back in range of its cradle.
Swap the battery, keep scanning
The 2,600 mAh lithium-ion battery is replaceable and rated for 16 hours of continuous use at one scan every 6 seconds. A full charge takes about 6 hours; a 4-slot battery charger is available for spare batteries.
Takes everyday knocks
IP52 sealing and a 1.5 m drop rating for the scanner (1.2 m for the cradle), with no moving parts. It works from -10 °C to 50 °C.
Plugs into your billing software
The cradle connects by USB Type-A as a keyboard (USB-KBW), a virtual COM port (USB-CDC) or HID-POS. Settings are made with Newland's EasySet or programming barcodes, and Newland provides JPOS and OPOS drivers.

Using the HR2000-BT in India
These are the points buyers in India ask us about the HR2000-BT. Mention the ones that apply to you when you request a quote.
Reads product, carton and medicine codes
The HR2000-BT lists QR Code, Data Matrix, GS1-128 and GS1 DataBar, the code types used on Indian medicine labels, and reads GS1 India's 890-prefix EAN-13 product codes. Newland rates it to read a 13 mil EAN-13 from 50 mm to 260 mm and a 10 mil Data Matrix from 35 mm to 125 mm.
Reads UPI QR codes on phone screens
The HR2000-BT can read a UPI QR from a phone screen into your software, for example to check a payee or an order QR. Newland states it reads codes displayed on screens. Many UPI QRs are shown on a phone screen rather than printed. The payment itself is always made in the customer's UPI app, not by the scanner.
One charge covers two 8-hour shifts
At Newland's rated pace, one HR2000-BT charge covers two 8-hour shifts. The rating is 16 hours at one scan every 6 seconds: 16 × 3,600 ÷ 6 = 9,600 scans a charge. The cradle needs about 6 hours to recharge. To have a spare ready between shifts, use the optional 4-slot charger, which fills a battery in 3.5 hours. Out of range, batch mode holds 16,384 scans, more than one charge produces at that pace.
Keep the cradle and charger out of the sun
Keep the HR2000-BT's cradle and the 4-slot charger away from shutters, glass fronts and direct sun. The scanner works from -10 °C to 50 °C, but Newland rates battery charging at 0 °C to 45 °C, 5 °C lower. IP52 keeps out dust and dripping water, so keep the scanner under cover at open loading bays.
Charger adapter suits India's 230 V supply
The adapter of the optional 4-slot charger (NLS-BCD2000-4B) suits Indian mains: Newland rates it for 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz input, which covers India's 230 V and 240 V, 50 Hz supply. The cradle itself runs on 5 V DC; ask us to confirm its adapter and plug in your quotation.

Exploring for a different use?
If your job differs from what the HR2000-BT is built for, these Newland models may fit it better:
Buyers who keep the scanner at one desk, or whose system needs RS-232, often look at the
Newland HR2000 (corded, USB or RS-232).
Buyers who need longer reach, or read faint, low-contrast labels, often look at the
Newland HR3000-BT (40-535 mm for EAN-13, 15% minimum symbol contrast).
What is the price of the Newland HR2000-BT in India?
The HR2000-BT price depends on the cable or accessories you need and the quantity. Ask our team for today's competitive price: share your requirement and budget,
and we will help you choose the right configuration and send a written quotation with current pricing and
delivery time.
HR2000-BT or HR3000-BT?
Both are cordless, share the same body, battery (2,600 mAh), Bluetooth 5.0 range (100 m) and IP52 rating. The HR3000-BT has a 1280 × 800 sensor and a laser aimer, reads a 13 mil EAN-13 from 40 mm to 535 mm and codes down to 15% contrast. The HR2000-BT has a 640 × 480 sensor, reads the same EAN-13 from 50 mm to 260 mm, and is rated for 16 hours against 15. For close-range billing the HR2000-BT is enough.
HR2081-BT or HR2000-BT?
Newland lists both as current models. Compared with the HR2081-BT, the HR2000-BT has double the stated Bluetooth range (100 m against 50 m), a larger replaceable battery (2,600 mAh against 2,400 mAh, 16 hours against 12), IP52 sealing instead of IP42. The HR2081-BT is lighter at 167 g against 209 g. Both read 1D and 2D codes with a 640 × 480 sensor.
Will it work with our billing or ERP software?
Usually, yes. The cradle connects by USB and can act as a keyboard, so scans appear wherever the cursor is, as in most billing and ERP screens. It can also run as a virtual COM port or a HID-POS device, and Newland provides JPOS and OPOS drivers.
What happens if staff walk out of Bluetooth range?
Newland states a range of up to 100 m in direct line of sight in open air; walls, racks and metal shelving shorten it. In batch mode the scanner stores up to 16,384 scans and sends them when it is back in range of the cradle, so scans taken in a back room or godown are kept.
