Why the ZT510

A metal 4-inch printer with the basics built in

The ZT510 is Zebra's 4-inch industrial printer built on its 105SLPlus, with Link-OS management added. Zebra aims it at buyers who want an industrial printer's metal build and speed without paying for extras: it has a backlit multi-line display with a keypad instead of a touch screen, and Gigabit Ethernet, USB, serial and Bluetooth LE as standard.

Metal build for dusty shop floors

Zebra gives the ZT510 an all-metal design on a metal frame, with sealed dome buttons that keep out dust, dirt and moisture. It weighs 22.7 kg, so plan a sturdy bench or stand.

Network-ready without an add-on card

Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, RS-232 serial and Bluetooth LE are standard, with a static NFC tag for Print Touch pairing with Android phones. Zebra recommends Bluetooth LE for setup and light data, not for heavy print jobs.

Two open slots for later upgrades

Two communication slots take a dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card, a parallel card or a second Ethernet card; a USB host card and an IPv6 print server on the parallel port are also offered. Zebra lists the slot cards, cutter and peeler as field-installable.

Long labels and big rolls

It prints continuous labels up to 3810 mm long at 203 dpi (2540 mm at 300 dpi), takes media rolls up to 203 mm across on a 76 mm core and ribbons up to 450 m long, which Zebra matches 3:1 to the media roll.

Memory for graphics, fonts and formats

An 800 MHz Cortex A9 processor and 2 GB of flash (512 MB for your files) store graphics, fonts and label formats in the printer. It has 16 resident bitmap and two scalable ZPL fonts, with Unicode for multi-language printing.

Managed from one screen with Zebra's tools

Link-OS and Zebra DNA tools let you update firmware, change settings and watch status on-site or remotely; the printer's web page (Web View) and email alerts work over the network. It is ENERGY STAR qualified.

Used in

  • Manufacturing: product identification, packaging, receiving and put-away, and work-in-process labels
  • Transportation and logistics: order picking and packing, shipping and receiving, cross-docking and compliance labels
  • Warehouses (Zebra names manufacturing and warehouse environments for the ZT510)

For buyers in India

Using the ZT510 in India

These are the points buyers in India ask us about the ZT510. Mention the ones that apply to you when you request a quote.

Printing from older EPL software? Check before you order

Send us a sample of the label job your software prints today before you order. Zebra's ZT510 documents list ZPL and ZPL II with XML-enabled printing, and no EPL.

Keep it below 40 °C on the shop floor

Place the ZT510 away from ovens, sealers and direct sun. Zebra rates it for 5 °C to 40 °C in thermal transfer and 0 °C to 40 °C in direct thermal, at 20-85% humidity, non-condensing.

Adding Wi-Fi? Ask for the rest-of-world card

Ask for the rest-of-world version of the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card; we confirm it in the quotation. Zebra's accessories guide lists the ZT510's dual-band 802.11ac card in North America, Japan and rest-of-world versions.

Exploring for a different use?

If your job differs from what the ZT510 is built for, these Zebra models may fit it better:

  • Buyers who need 600 dpi for small part labels, or a colour touch display, often look at the Zebra ZT610 (203, 300 or 600 dpi, up to 14 ips, Gigabit Ethernet).
  • Buyers who want an optional UHF RFID encoder on a 4-inch printer often look at the Zebra ZT411 (optional UHF RFID encoder and on-metal tag kit).
  • Buyers who print 6-inch carton, pallet or drum labels, often look at the Zebra ZT421 (up to 168 mm print width).
  • Buyers who print standard 4-inch labels in a smaller space often look at the Zebra ZT231 (light-industrial, up to 12 ips).

Questions buyers ask

ZT510 FAQ

What is the price of the Zebra ZT510 in India?

The ZT510 price depends on the resolution you choose (203 or 300 dpi), the options you add and the quantity. We can quote the labels and ribbon with it. We do not publish prices: share the model, quantity and city, and we send a written quotation with current pricing and delivery time, replying within one working day.

Is the Zebra ZT510 still sold?

Yes. Zebra Asia Pacific lists the ZT510 among its current industrial printers, and its ZT510 support page carries no discontinuation notice; we checked both on 20 October 2026.

Can we add Wi-Fi, a cutter or a rewinder after we buy it?

Yes. Zebra lists the slot cards, cutter and peeler as field-installable. The dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card fits the top slot; a parallel card or a second Ethernet card can go in the other. A USB host card is also offered.

Will our current label formats print on the ZT510?

If your software sends ZPL, yes: the ZT510 runs ZPL and ZPL II with XML-enabled printing. Zebra's ZT510 documents do not list EPL, so send us one label your software prints today and we test it before you order.

What labels and ribbons does it take?

Labels and liner 20 mm to 114 mm wide and 0.076 mm to 0.305 mm thick, on rolls up to 203 mm across on a 76 mm core. Ribbons are up to 450 m long on a 25.4 mm core, 51 mm to 110 mm wide, coated side out. It also prints direct thermal without a ribbon.

ZT510 or ZT610: which should we choose?

Both print 104 mm wide and have Gigabit Ethernet built in. The ZT610 is faster (14 ips against 12 ips at 203 dpi), offers a 600 dpi printhead and has a 4.3-inch colour touch display. The ZT510 prints at 203 or 300 dpi and has a backlit display with a keypad.

Can Allmark install the ZT510 and connect it to our software?

Yes. We install the ZT510 at your site, connect it so your ERP, warehouse or billing software prints to it (our own warehouse management system included) and train the people who use it. Tell us the software when you ask for a quote, and we include the setup in the quotation.
